sharp head pain
Oct 1st, 2010 at 2:45am

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with cluster headaches in July this year. After 10 weeks of agony I have now been pain free for 3 1/2 weeks. Smiley

For the past 3 days though I've been getting a very sharp pain on the top of my head on my scalp. It only lasts for about 3sec then nothing for 10mins. Other than the pain and a bit of tenderness at the site of pain I have no other symptoms.

Just wondering if this is related in any way to the cluster headaches and if it is does it mean they are coming back.

Thank you for taking the time to read this

As with so many things Cluster, only time will tell.

It's not uncommon, when you are developing a CH pattern, for symptoms to wander about your head, quality and intensity of pain changes, etc. It many take months for a stable picture to emerge.

Your best bet is to stay in touch with your doc and learn as much about CH as you can via the material which is regularly posted here.

Bob knows whereof he speaks! And a number of us have written about sensitive areas of the scalp. Don't know if they are cluster related or not, but it's not unheard of among this elite band of fellow sufferers. Read everything. Knowledge is power. Blessings. lance
