Five (5) Years CH-Free
Oct 10th, 2010 at 9:32pm

Hate to jinx myself, but I was looking at my calendar and I am very proud to write that I have officially made it 5 years without an attack Cheesy

Prior to my last cycle in Fall 2005, I suffered episodic CH's annually for 26 years since I was 11 years old.  My guess why I have made it 5 years CH-Free is either:

a- I am getting older and CH's are known to decrease/diminish with age.

b- in 2006, I suffered from a closed head injury resulting in a coma and the accident might have altered my brain to be CH-Free

or c- just lucky!   Wink

My bet is d - all of the above!

Glad to still be a part of this family and if anybody is in Las Vegas that ever needs support, please feel free to contact me.

Congrats on the 5 years...There very well could be something to that (head-injury)...in the summer of 2007,i had a head injury (they put in staples) instead of stitches...I was chronic at the time and in November of that year they disappeared for a while...Since then i have been episodic...So maybe thats all we need is for someone to hit us upside the head with a bat to get some releif Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.....Lenny

Five years CH-free is great news.  Hope it continues for a long, long time--whatever the cause.   Smiley

Best wishes,

Sad to say that for some of us here a coma would be a nice reprieve.  Glad you're CH free though and praying it continues.  Smiley

You give me hope!  Just wish I could consider 42 as being old though.

May it never end!

That is amazing news! Here's to a lasting remission! Smiley

And I'm glad that you told us that. It's fantastic to know that it's possible to live 5 years and counting without ch. It gives all of us hope. Smiley

Lots of more ch-free years,
Sanna

Geeze. Sounds scary.

So are we at a place where it takes a coma to kill this horror? Egad

If that was "all" it took, I think there would be a line of people waiting to try it.
