We're planning a small wedding, because the marriage part matters to us more than the wedding part. That's why there will be only our mothers (unfortunately our dads are no longer with us) and Esa's brother present at the church and only selected members of the both families and close friends will be invited to the reception - at our home - the next day.

We are still thinking if we should invite our godparents and one friend each to the church, but we both want to keep things small and simple. Neither likes to be in the center of too much attention, so this will be perfect.

My mother does consider herself lucky that we've invited her - she and my dad got married in secret and just sent letters to their parents afterwards! So, in comparison, we're having a huge wedding. They did, however, have a reception for family and friends after the honeymoon.
