Well, the title matches the post!  These are all taken on the upper Ouachita River in southern AR at Felsenthal Refuge.  It was just about this time last year that all of this was under water.

You could only see the tips of the trees of this island when the water was up.

The water mark is about 6-7 feet on this tree.  The water was a lot higher, but it stayed at this depth for awhile.

Hopefully, the weather will hold and it will be a nice weekend.  Jimbo and I are planning to go to lake Darbonne to the cookoff and then back into town for the Celtic Fest.  Should have lots of pictures.

Hey Marc, the bulk of these were taken in Southern AR, although it is right across the state line.  LA does have a lot to offer for scenery though.

Beautiful as always Carolyn!

That 5th one down looks for all the world like a Bob Ross painting.  I could hear Clark in my mind ".....and a big ole tree right THERE!" hehe.

That's almost the identical painting he did for me...except he was just painting something, he I am certain he didn't know there was a very real location that looked just like that Smiley

If you don't have any blocks on your work computer, just go to the link in my signature and it will take you to my photobucket account.  There's a little over 10,000 pics in there.

I keep looking for a foot to show up in some of them, but they aren't Paul's.  LOL

I always enjoy them.  Thanks.
