Quote:European program, EUROPLAN, will promote the organization of conferences in each country with stakeholders in 15 European countries on the creation of National Action Plans for Rare Diseases. The activity is coordinated by the European Organisation for Rare Diseases EURORDIS - (European Organization for Rare Diseases) and in each country responsible for organizing the conference will be the equivalent of Rare Diseases Association in each country.
During this conference, that our country will be held on 26 and 27 November 2010 at the Eugenides Foundation, will be working on specific issues already given us the EUROPLAN. In the discussions and exchange of views will take decisions very seriously key issues for the creation of the Action Plan on Rare Diseases. Each country should include these decisions in a final report to Congress which will include the current situation of each country as well as new proposals for an integrated action plan.
These final reports from all the host countries in their respective conferences will be sent to the European Commission to study to be followed throughout Europe with a common strategy for the Action Plans for Rare Diseases.
The aim is to involve all stakeholders in the issue of Rare Diseases: State Workers, patients and families, representatives of National Associations of Rare Diseases and patients' associations, scientists, academics, experts carers, nurses and social workers and all concerned. Inclusiveness is essential and very important to the supply of knowledge, experience and new ideas to help create an integrated program of the Action Plan for Rare Diseases

of course these dates are only for the greek conference but thought to share with you to raise awareness since i pressume logically that similar conferences might be held in other eu countries too maybe around same dates(maybe?) in case someone wants to attend them.
