RIP Charlie
Nov 30th, 2010 at 9:16pm

My beloved friend and confidont of 10 years went on to go to heaven today.  His day started out happy and bright.  He went for a walk and a car ride and a trip to the vets office all of which he loves.  He had a scheduled surgery to remove a rapidly growing tomor on his front leg/stomach area.  The tumor was cancerous and went deep into the muscle.  He lost lots of blood during the surgery and the surgeon even went back in to make sure everything was ok.  She said it is without a doubt would have attacked his liver and kidney organs and had internal bleeding soon from the tumor if did nothing. We were called to his side around 5pm.  He recognized us and wagged his tail.  At 6:00 despite blood transfusion and oxygen given to him he took his last breaths and died.  Ted and I cant quit crying.  I keep looking at all his things around the house and wonder when he will come walking up to bathe me or get a belly rub.  I know he is no longer blind, and can run and jump and swim and do all the fun things he wants to do but I miss him so my heart breaks.  Thanks for all your prayers for his surgery and if you could please pray for my broken heart I would appreciate it.  I have a feeling it is going to be awhile.

Cry    I am so sorry you lost your beloved Charlie.  My heart breaks for you.  There are no words...only time will bring less pain and heal the hurt.  Try to remember what a wonderful companion he was and the joy he brought to you and what a wonderful life you obviously gave him.  One day when you think of him you'll smile instead of cry.  Know he is running and playing and painfree.  Prayers your way.

It's incredible how our pets make such an impact on our lives. Many of us here know the pain you are going through with the loss of Charlie. You at least know you did all you could but it still doesn't bring him back. In time you'll think more about all the wonderful times you had, so try to think of them now and try to smile as well as cry.

You've lost a very close, wonderful family member and companion whose spirit lit up your life.

That's one of the toughest things to have to go through. Very sorry.  Cry

Here's to Charlie and the 10 great years you had with him.

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

My Dearest Karla...

We love our pets so much, and it's so hard to let them go. Losing a pet has a drastic impact on our lives. Some might say I shouldn't say it, but when I lost Princess, my beloved Miniature Poodle, it felt equal to or worse than that of losing some of my human family members. Losing some one you love causes extreme anguish and sorrow. This is a natural reaction  whether human or animal; and the stages of mourning are the same. Grievers feel the identical shock and denial, anger and guilt, sorrow and depression.

Karla, it is okay to cry! It's okay to grieve over your loss. You have the right to grieve because you've lost a loyal companion and a best friend. You've lost a family member who gave you unconditional love and acceptance. You've lost the one who loved you no matter what you did or didn't do.

It may sound crazy, but to help me overcome the sorrow and grief I was feeling when Princess died, my son and nephews had a burial ceremony to say goodbye to our dear angel.

Princess was my only pet, but If you have other pets, they are most likely grieving also. Let them be a part of it all. Write a eulogy to say how much you loved your little one and tell about all the good times and happiness you shared. Talk about your pain and loss to someone else who will understand what you are going through.

I will keep you in my Prayers....

Peace & Blessings
