3 months since last cycle and back already?
Dec 2nd, 2010 at 1:21pm

Hi everyone!

At the end of august i was diagnosed with CH, everything you could imagine. Fought through the pain, it was intense but 6 weeks finally passed and i made it through the worst part of my entire life. Lol.

I'm taking Divalproex CH blocker, and Verpamil daily they lowered my verpamil dose after my cycle finished but im still taking my Divalproex as a preventative? anyways my Neurologist is really good and hasnt given me any issues with getting medication.

Now on to my current issue. Is it normal for them to come back already after 3 months? for the past 3 days i've started to get these shadow type headaches during the day get a BIT worse if i have a glass of beer etc... Can my preventative medication help with the pain? am I in a cycle? should i be treating my self like i'm in one?

Just need some insight, also i was wondering if i should try a clusterbuster cycle? i have everything ready to go zomig nasal inject/ imitrex injections, except oxygen they took that back after my cycle but its easily obtainable at any moment.

Sadly, as soon as you think your CH has developed a predicatble cycle, it'll hiccup on you. If you even suspect the beast is back calling, I'd get that 02 filled again. Especially if you're planning on busting as that's about the only abortive you can use when you go to bust.

Hoping they're rogue shadows and nothing more. Wink

Just curious, have the shadows started again as you are decreasing the verapamil?  Or are you off it?

Its just that I remember the last time I used verapamil, once the hits had stopped and it was apparent that my cycle had ended, I started cutting down on the verap and the shadows started up with a vengence.

In the end I decided to bite the bullet and continued to decrease the verap until I had stopped.  Had quite a bit of shadowing but no hits.

If in doubt tho' I'd get the 02 as well.  Great for peace of mind!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that what you are getting are just rogue shadows and NOT another cycle starting up!

Wishin you all the best,

Kate
