Raising awaress/treatment (video link)

Hi All!

I'm currently a supporter and serial lurker with a few posts...
Anyway Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register  this was just on our national news here in the UK..  It's about Deep brain stimulation treatment.

I have heard about this being done before but not much about it, but either way it's always interesting when something is on main stream TV to raise awareness of the condition and thought I'd share it with you guys who may not have seen as you are across the pond!
(I hope you can view it there)

A gram of shrooms doesn't mess with the brain for as long, leaves no scars, and has a much higher rate of success.  Just sayin'

Not near as expensive, either.

Hi Bex,

I apologize for making light of your post. It's gratifying to see evidence that our shared malady is getting better known. I don't really even share; I support my son who does. Thanks for the good news.

Yes...to me the bottom line is that clusterheadaches received a lot of press to a very large venue.

Thanks Bex.

Bex,

I didn't mean to make light of your post either.  I was just short on time and just put in a little response.

I am very grateful for those in the medical community who are doing something for CH, and I'm very grateful when the new media actually reports something about it, albeit abbreviated and usually not totally accurate.

A few years ago I was very interested in the DBS surgery and then later the Occipital Nerve Stimulation surgery, but the more I looked into it the less interested I have become.  ONS may be the route I have to go in the future, but I've also been finding the research into BOL, psylocybin and other related matters of much more interest given their non-invasiveness and their success ratio.  A 60% percent rate of improvement, not stopping CH doesn't excite me all that much given the tremendous risks and suffering required for the help.  It seems to me an 85% chance of total relief for months without someone having to mess with my brain tissue is a much better option.  Cheaper too!

Jerry

Edit to add:  I am appreciative that you brought this to our attention.  Thanks.
