Christmas Eve
Dec 24th, 2010 at 12:38pm

OK, it's Christmas Eve.

Who is going shopping today?  Be honest, did you procrastinate and now need to go find that "must have" item for someone or all you completely finished?

I am completely finished, BUT, I'm heading out this afternoon to the shopping centers, not to necessarily buy anything, but to just go and enjoy the Christmas spirit.  I wear a red sweater and a Santa Hat.

Most everyone (not all- there is always a Scrooge or Grinch or two) are happy, fun, and hollering Merry Christmas to everyone they see.  Yes, I might drive around for 30 minutes or so just trying to find a parking spot, so what.  If there is a Salvation Army red bucket anywhere with their bell ringing, I'll drop a dollar in every bucket I see.

Christmas Eve at a shopping center is what you make of it.  I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Merry Christmas to all - and to all - I'm going  to the shopping center.

Sandy

I just went out to pick up some flowers for my son to deliver to the fiancee of  a Marine serving in Afghanistan.  He is to deliver them to her at Midnight tonight. Smiley  He's a good kid, going out of his way to take care of a buddy like that.  That's what Marines do!

Jerry

Edit to add:  I had to pick them up for him because he is driving form SC right now, and won't get in until this evening sometime.  That's what Marine Dad's do! Wink

You are a good Dad, Daddy!

How lovely, and what a tribute to our armed service men and women.  They care about each other and about the rest of us.

God bless them all.  May they be safe and able to come home soon.  I truly wish they could all be here with their loved ones at Christmas.
