How much time between attacks?
Jan 6th, 2011 at 5:06pm

Hello,
I have been newly diagnosed after 2 years of being misdiagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia.
My question is, how much time do you have between attacks? My attacks last for 2-3 days, always begin at midnight, and the breaks between them are only minutes between one stops and another one starts. They last for hours before the attack if finished, and I only have enough time to take several breaths before another attack starts. Is this normal?

There is nothing "normal" about CH.  That is not usual, but that is the nature of this beast.  We are not Drs, but if you will give us a bit more info about your situation, what meds you are using both as a preventative and as an abortive we can probably give you some good guidance for talking with your Dr.  As alternative to that is found at Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register; A number of people have found some tremendous help there.

I have a half hour between hits.  Sorry to hear you break is so brief.  Hope you find something to prevent your cycle.

Give us a rundown of your treatments, prevents and aborts, the strength of this board is its collective real life experience. Maybe we can point you to something your doc hasn't considered yet. Are you working with a good headache neuro yet?
