Tornwaldt's cysts???
Jan 10th, 2011 at 12:12pm

Hi guys, it's been a good few months pain free for me but I've had some (possibly) interesting news. I have recieved the results of my MRI and everything is normal except a Tornwaldt's cyst or incidental nasapharangeal cyst to be clever about it. The rubbish consultant I have doesn't seem worried or want to see me anytime soon but a quick check on the net shows links with the occipital nerve and headaches. Could be related or coincidence because no one has their brain scanned for no reason.

Just wondering if anyone else has this or has even heard of them? Unfortunately there is even less information about it online than CH...hard to believe I know but it's true!

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well!

Well I thought you guys would have collectively had more head scans than any bunch I could ever hope to meet and statistically someone else must have one of these lurking beneath their face.

Maybe I'll have to go and start a "weird cyst forum" on my own!  Grin

I think the lack of response can be safely interpreted as no collective clue about Tornwaldt's cysts.

I get my own brand of cysts, but it ain't this kind.

No, me neither! Thought it was worth a try though. Smiley

I remember my Dr or someone I talked to back when I was in the very dark ch place, telling me I had some sort of cyst in my brain.  The cat scan picked it up and that is the area the Dr ordered the tech to focus on during my MRI.  I just remember being told it was common and nothing to worry about.  Never gave it much thought after that.  Too bad the tech was focused on the cyst area and not my hypothalamus because I had a full blown ch during that MRI.  I scared the tech when she finally let me out.
