Can you post notes to yourself for later use?
Jan 25th, 2011 at 8:13pm

I rely so much on this site when I am in cycle and I would love to be able to post notes to myself like what was working for me at that time and some advice that was being given to me that helped.

This go around I was able to go back to PM's that I saved from 07 to help me know how things were going and when my cycle started and stopped.

Since this is a staple for people with cluster's it's like coming home or a soft place to fall when the rest of your life at that point is going to hell.  I just thought that if we were able to post notes to ourselves for later use would be a great idea.  We would always know where to come for our info.

Blessings,
Sami

Good idea.  On the left column there is a button for "feedback".  Drop a note to DJ and Steph and maybe it can be incorporated on the board.

I would simply open a word processing document at the same time and toggle back and forth.

The software I use to file the material you see me posting here is inexpensive, very adaptable, allowing the user to set up a filing system with any # of categories. It's essentially, an empty filing cabinet, full of folders which have nothing on the labels (waiting for your instructions).

Lots of folks here start a handwritten  headache diary.  After 24 yrs. chronic, I don't have a need to do that anymore, but it sure has proved helpful for others to determine a pattern of when the hits occur, what was a precipitating factor if any, how long the hits & cycles last,  what meds worked, etc.  It has also proved very helpful to some who brought that diary to their Dr. so he could see a pattern also.

(A condensed version is best since most Dr.s don't have the time or inclination to read anything that takes more than 3 or 4 mins.  Grin )

Thanks everyone,  By now I don't really need to keep a diary since I have had them now for over 30 years.  I just thought it would help to see if my cycles stayed the same and how I was taking the meds? What tank I needed and how many hits I was getting.

I think the days of trying new meds to prevent the hits are well over since I have tried many and they just don't work.  I believe my cycle started the day after Christmas with just mild hits and shadows skipping days.  The real time when they started coming everyday was Jan 5th.  So I just wanted to see when they would begin tapering off.

I also thought that since everyone comes home when they start it would help others.

Blessings,
Sami
