Being die-hard Cleveland Browns fans, well, let's just say nobody we know is rooting for Pittsburgh. They're the enemy around these parts. My son went through a phase when he was much younger and had his room decorated in Packers...comforter, sheets, wall hangings, the works. That was before he got a letter with an autograph pic from Bernie Kosar, then his allegiance changed....but between Pittsburgh and Green Bay?...no question, Go Packers!!

I'm Wisconsin born and raised. I have never been a football fan. I watch the WI Badgers occasionally since some of my friend's CHILDREN play for them.

I lived through the suck years of the 70's and 80's when the Packers were a joke.

Watched occasionally over the years but can never get my head around the game. What kind of game has a rule that a team can DECLINE a penalty?? Or hang around running the clock down . . . Let's get into real life - can I DECLINE a speeding ticket? Can I sit in my car for the last five minutes of work waiting for the clock to run down? Pfffffffffft.

All that said, I'll be eating Wisconsin sushi and cheering my lungs out for the home team this weekend. And watching commercials, which is the REAL purpose of the Super Bowl. The Packers already beat the BEARS to get there, everything else is just clean up.

My youngest brother just posted via Facebook that he and his wife drove up to Green Bay yesterday to bar-hop and watch the game with the locals.

El told me that she and her roommates plan to sequentially crash a series of super-bowl parties in the dorm to cadge free food and such.

I expect updates throughout the day.

I wonder what the percentage of people who intend to watch the game is after a day "pre-partying" that actually watch it that a.) even understand what's going on and jump up out of their lazy-boy to yell at the tv and cuss out the ref, then fall on their face because they well...aren't steady on their feet only to get up and yell "get me another beer!" or b.) have passed out just as the national anthem begins and miss the whole thing? Wink
