Hello!
Feb 6th, 2011 at 4:53pm

Hello everyone!
I'm new here and this is my second posting!

I've been bothered by clusters most of my life (I'm 51 now and they started around 17). I'm three weeks into a cycle now (they come on average every four years and last 4 to 6 weeks).  I've looked at the site considerably while both in and out of cycle and found the information on treatment invaluable especially O2 which I am using for the first time with considerable albeit limited success. Oxygen, for me, however just postpones the headache for an hour or two and then it hits again and eventually I need the Imitrex; however,  I have been able to ration my use of that drug considerably easier through O2 use.  I've noticed others postings with this problem too and it's comforting to know it's just not me.

Just yesterday I started a round of Prednisone and last night was my first PF night in two weeks and I can only hope it continues.

Thanks to the many contributors who recommended what supplements to try - the clusters seemed to diminish in intensity once I started taking them.
I'm very interested in the mechanism of actions of the various supplements and drugs and wish that information was a little easier to find.  I've taught Anatomy & Physiology for some years and have spent many hours online researching those things in relation to clusters especially the Serotonergic Pathways in the brain. I'm currently taking the regimen suggested by Batch plus Taurine, Glycine, Selenium and Resveratrol.
Can anyone direct me to members' experience with Glycine and more specifically Choline?

Thanks to all, your insights and information have been a lifesaver!

Welcome to the board. I'm one that finds 02 just postponed the attacks. I find by drinking an energy drink, I use the sugar free red bull, I can push any come backer away for several hours. Might be worth a shot.

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.
