Hi and welcome.  can we have a first name and possibly a state where you live???

[quoteI just want a few friends that understand what's happening to me.
] [/quote]

You've certainly come to the right place for that.  We are a family around here and we all want to help any way we can.  I understand typing something and then losing it somehow.  I've done it many times.

Read the links to the left, especially the link about oxygen.  Many of us swear 02 as an abortive.  There is also many here who will be more than happy to share their preventatives that have worked for them.

Again welcome and when you have the time to repost, let us know what you've tried in the past.  What has worked, and hasn't.

You're not alone anymore.  We are all here to help.

Linda

Read this to learn how oxygen can stop your attacks in less then 10 minutes. I average 6-8 minute aborts. Been a true miracle abortive for many.

Visit this website to learn some area specific assistance in finding docs and getting past some of the hurdles for obtaining oxygen on your side of the pond.

Finally, visit this site to learn of some non traditional methods of dealing with CH. Their success rate is quite impressive.

Welcome to the board. Yeah, we get it! Hoping we can help you tame the beast a bit.

Send Bekki to the supporters board when you get a chance. A good place for our supporters to get some info and support of their own.

You might try writing on your word processor, then copying and pasting to a post. I'm assuming you mean you are having clusterheadache attacks or symptoms? We are very friendly (none more than Linda and Joe) but we are also pretty good at support in helping to tame the beast. So, what's going on with you Dan? What's happening and what have you tried? Blessings. lance

At the moment, theyre only trying me on migraine nasal sprays. They erm, they dont work. Maybe some better stuff will become available after the trip to see the neurologist? I had my worst attack yet last saturday, ended up going to A&E crying like a little baby, where i spent around 45 minutes on oxygen. Wow that was good stuff AND i got to feel like darth vader for a while. Thankyou to everyone who's took the time to read / comment on this, glad i've found people who dont brush it off as 'just a headache'

Ah Ben, we do not  have "Just a headache" here!  We know your pain and are here to help!  Glad you experienced the miracle of O2 and have an appt with a neuro coming up. O2 is such a great way to abort these things quickly, with no side affects and very low cost!  Check out our info on O2 when you can - and take with you to the neuro. And like Joe said, feel free to invite Bekki to join in on the discussions, we have a special board for supporters (I am one myself). - Christy

Hey Ben, people commonly come here just to converse with a few friends that understand what's happening to them, only to find info and advice that helps them greatly relieve their CH attacks (much of this info isn't being offered by their doctors).

I hope you continue to hang out and this fate also befalls you.  Smiley

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.
