Melatonin Time Release
Mar 10th, 2011 at 12:57pm

I have been chronic for 9 years (3-5 ch's almost everyday), after trying almost everything imaginable from my doctor (he is familiar with CH) nothing ever worked until my ex-girlfriend gave me some Melatonin time release, it has given me 11 months of 0 headaches from day 1. I'm posting this in the hopes that it might do the same for someone else.  Hang in there! Life is like a breath of fresh air now!!!!

You're not the first, a couple of other regular members have posted that melatonin keeps the beast at bay. That's fantastic news.

Do continue to read on the board, stay educated, on the off chance it ever loses its effectiveness it'll be nice to have a plan B ready. Praying that never becomes necessary for you! Smiley

just wanted to share this link that Alleyoop posted on CB. It really hit home with me the importance of using time release over regular melatonin.

Also, I remember reading in a report by Dr Sewell that it is important to try different brands of Melatonin if you don't see any effects, as the actual amount of Melatonin can very regardless of what is listed on the bottle. .

PF Wishes to all...

Most healthfood stores, rite aid, etc., it's an OTC med, may have to hunt a bit to find the time released version.

Always been amazed at how much help some people have gotten from melatonin....If I take more than 6-7 mg I'm almost guaranteed to wake up with a headache.

Definitley one of the beasts more frustrating traits, what works for one is a freaking trigger for another! Go and figure. Undecided
