Injecting in Stomach?
Mar 10th, 2011 at 9:17pm

Hi all,

I know I have not been on much, or at all, over the years; I find myself keeping this stuff very much to myself.  Mostly, this is due to the fact that I become very depressed and very much in denial when it comes to my time.  However, the past two years have seen me taking many more injections (now that I have a stock of them (and can push the Maxalt off to the side.)  My only question is this... My arms, tricepts, butt are very sore after taking so many injections... sometimes up to 2 or 4 or more a day for 4 to 6 weeks, whether 4 or 6mg.  Has anyone taken Imitrex injections in the fat of the belly?  My sister in law takes her insuluin in her belly and I was wondering if this would have the same affect.  Does it matter, does it still hit the head as fast or at all?  By the way, so glad I read up on expired injections...  I stock up so much now, since my insurance only allows me so much per month.  Be well all,  Kent

Hey Kent,

Belly = yes!

Many of us, myself included, prefer the belly, because it's the spot that's the least painful, easiest to manage, etc.

The day I went belly is the day I stopped flinching.  Smiley

Pinch a lil' belly fat/skin to the side of the navel and off ya go.  Cool

Also, IMO 3 mg should be the max dosage, especially when it's necessary to conserve supply. I've always found 3 mg to be as reliable as 6 mg, and many who follow the imitrex tip Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register go for 2 mg and get 3 aborts from one injector. If you already knew that part, sorry, please disregard.  Smiley

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Just about anywhere works. There are body parts that have less sensory nerves usually the outer side of any appendage. When they hurt on me it's when I went past sub q into muscle tissue.....still works. Tongue

Does oxygen not work for you? It's all but eliminated my use of trex.

If it would stop a CH hit, I would inject in my eyeball. No kidding. From what I've read the stomach is one of the best spots, least painful etc.

Imitrex doesn't work for me so I use DHE intramuscular injections and believe me it is nothing compared to a full blown CH. I still find it strange that Imitrex won't work for me, because DHE acts in the same maner, vaso-constrictor, but we are all different to an extent.

I'm posting this to show others that there are more options. Fighting this fight today requires we become our own expert about CH.... Thinking our Dr's are dumb will not get us what we need, we will.

Fighting this fight must be done by us.
