If you still have questions after searching threads, find Batch on line and send him a pm. Busy guy that Batch, but a better friend and source you won't find. Good luck. Check your pm's. lance

Just saw a specialist... got an 02 prescription, imitrex prescription (boy is this expensive)

and he gave me an occipital nerve block which smarted but not as bad as a CH.... Hopefully this works.

I never would have been able to come this far this fast without this site and the help of you guys...

thanks a ton, and Ill be posting my progress asap.

So... Um. The doc was really nice and gave me an imitrex sample.  But I was wondering where in my leg I should inject? Are there directions? I dont want to open it... to find out.. Do you guys just go anywhere in the leg?

p.s I asked him whether 2-3 mg of imitrex would do the trick but the smallest manufactured is the 6mg. He said yes that 2-3 mg would do the trick and if he were to prescribe me a vial and my own syringe I could do this (so thats really good for you guys out there using the imitrex tip)

but also for me he said Im a big young guy and not really on other medications so if I needed a third it wouldnt kill me.

Anyway the guy I saw was Dr. Alexander Mauskop here in NYC and while expensive he seems to know what he is talking about.

You can inject pretty much anywhere...leg, arm, top left quadrant of the buttocks...some even pinch a flap of stomach skin and inject there. Blessings. lance

I am now on a 10 day taper of prednisone and have been doing batch's course of minerals for a weekin additon to some other herbs and supplements now and am 2.3 days pain free thus far...

fingers crossed...

Im sure you all probobly know this, but apparently magnesium has had some luck...

If you decide to continue with the Imitrex Injections, most can get the same results using just 1/3 of the medicine at a time. So you can knock off 3 hits with one injector instead of one.

Yes.. I saw the imitrex tip, but my doc said Im a big guy (im about 6'4 240) ok ok I could stand to lose a few pounds.

and that 3 wouldnt be a problem and I have never gotten more than 2 episodes in a day so.. Im good. Plus the doc said if I ever needed to he would just prescribe a vial and needle...
I am trying to be optimistic but dont want to assume this is
Hopefully the prednisone, batch's combo and some other herbs vitamins and minerals I threw in are doing the trick...

I dont want to assume this is over for now, or for good. But as of this moment Im just happy to have been PF for this long.
