Yes the bag will inflate, that is normal.

If it's over inflating then you can either drop the flow rate on your regulator or even better, you can breath faster and deeper (hyperventilating) which is likely to result in quicker abort times.

As the previous poster wrote, read up on the oxygen link as there is a lot of very useful info there.

Glad to see you got the best O2 mask. I'm trying a Demand Valve on my next high cycle.

The O2PTI mask is the best thing I've found in 22 yrs for O2 use, it was designed by CH sufferers just for CH.

The longer tube has an arrow that should point away from you, attach the face mask or mouthpiece on the opposite end, the other tube's arrow should face up, hook the bag on the bottom end next to the O2 feed from the tank, attach the shorter tube, with the arrow facing up, to the center of the longer tube. Good to go.

The only thing critical about assembling the O2PTIMASK™ kit is to make sure the mask or mouthpiece is attached to the proper end of the "T" manifold so the one-way check valves operate properly.  See photo below shown with the mouthpiece attached.

The other thing to understand is that using oxygen therapy is not a passive act.  You need to have sufficient flow rate to hyperventilate if at all possible.  This requires a minimum flow rate of 25 liters/minute and many of us use much higher flow rates to ensure the fastest possible abort times.

If you're stuck with an oxygen regulator with a max flow rate of 15 liters/minute shoot me a PM so I can send you a modified procedure that should work at this flow rate.

Hope this helps.

Take care,

V/R, Batch
