I'm new! And yes, I'm very happy to find other people who can relate to what I go through every year.

Been a cluster sufferer for about 9 years now. Went to 4 doctors, but only one mentioned cluster headaches as a possibility (which he now confirmed btw). I went online, looked it up and found my problem. It's too bad that even some doctors don't know about clusters.

So again, a big THANK YOU from me to this site and everyone here for raising awareness about CH. Cheesy

Side note: I got a tattoo last week and the needles felt like gentle pokes compared to cluster attacks.  Grin

Hi paujo,

Yes one thing CH does for us is help us put other pain into perspective, doesn't it? Cheesy

I know if I wake up bolt upright with a raging charlie horse cramp in the leg, besides pinching the area between the upper lip and nose (an extremely effective pressure point for relieving a leg cramp BTW), I tend to calm myself down with thoughts of how this is nothing compared to a CH.  Cheesy

Sorry ya got CH, but glad you're here now, because most of us have had very unsatisfactory experiences with doctors, but many many of us have found much improved relief thanks to info and advice gained here.  Smiley

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Magandang hapon po Paujo.

Welcome aboard...  Saan po kayo nakatira?  Sorry if my Tagalog is a bit rusty...  Being a WestPac sailor and Navy fighter pilot I've spent many years flying in and out of the RP mostly out of NAS Cubi Pt.

There is lots of good information available here at CH.com so you've a lot of reading to do...  Having said that, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Paalam and take care,

V/R, Batch

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

Thanks bejeeber and Batch for the warm welcome. Yep, I realized that there's a lot to read. But hey, anything's fine as long as it'll help calm the beast right?  Smiley

Oh and Batch, I'm from Manila. And don't worry, your Tagalog's fine. Wink

welcome

Im pretty new also... this site is a godsend. I feel as though this site pushed ahead my whole curve by even years

thats so weird about your docs I even went to another one recently who was trying to tell me it isnt CH and I was like .... look man. Im no doctor but when the symptoms are almost identical to what the mayo clinic and other resources describe its pretty compelling... even the internist didnt want to say it. Maybe its becuase they dont know what they can do and its hard for them to admit as well

Hi Paujo,

I'm also from the Philippines. New member too. Somewhat relieved to find out that I'm not the only one in the Philippines suffering from cluster headaches. Haha just kidding. How are you doing? I'm currently in a cycle right now. What medication are you taking?
