What if you headache lasts longer
Apr 15th, 2011 at 2:55am

The headache i had the other day, lasted from around 12pm until 6pm.  I read on here that they normally last 30 mins to 3 hours.  Does this mean that mine aren't cluster headaches?  Mine sometimes last last longer than 3 hours.  This happens maybe 2 or 3 times during the peak of my cycle.

For a diagnosis or confirmation of a diagnosis you will get a much more accurate result from working with a good neurologist (preferably a headache specialist) than by worrying over some CHs being a bit longer than the normal range of 30 minutes to 3 hours.

And note that that definition says "normally". It doesn't say always!

Hi Mate - are you medicating ??

Before i was diagnosed propperly and thought i was suffering migranes my attacks regularly lasted more than 3 hours, usually ending up with me waking up 6 or 7 hours later having fallen asleep exhausted as the attack died out ..

The length of attack really isnt one of the most definate definition for diagnosing CH
