God Bless The Good Old O2 Man!!! UK Especially

Hi all, pain free I hope

Well, the Neuro finally wrote to the GP. The GP did a HOOF form straight away. I had oxygen delivered in less than 36 hours (It would have been 18, if I could have got home early enough!). Fortunately, I have to say that I have no recourse to use it, at the moment, and hope I won't have for a good while!! but my recent pattern means I'm about due. But this time I have O2, AND I have sumatriptan injections as a backup!

I have to report though, the best experience out of all of this...... THE O2 MAN is brilliant, he had me totally sussed when he got to the door. He showed me and told me exactly what to do with the kit. He's told me how to get round the system to get extra kit, when I first ask for a refill, as they limit the initial kit supply. He recognised that I would need more than the one large bottle and two small. If he's as good as his word, I'll be able to get refills in 24 hours, when I need them.
I think next time he comes, I'll bake him a cake! lol.

And obviously the GP was great and got things moving as quick as he could. Strange he works for the same practice as the harriden who whinged about the cost of my prescriptions previously.

All I can close with is that its a real shame that EVERY SILVER LINING HAS A CLOUD!! I hope mine takes its time to get overhead and that all yours stay clear for you

Andrew

Yay for your good fortune in the O2 man dept.! Smiley

Not to be a nag or anything  Cheesy but do you have a non rebreather mask and  high flow regulator (at least 15 LPM) in order to make your O2 most effective?

Also, if those are 6 mg sumatriptan injections, the "imitrex tip" method for stretching your doses can be a critical component in your beast aborting strategy: Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Gad to see you're prepared for the battle if need be, I hope you're in for a break. O2 has been a huge help for many of us on this site, may it do the same for you.
