Here I go again!!
May 5th, 2011 at 11:45pm

I'm new at this but not a stranger to CH!!  Been living with CH's for a long time.  I've just started my next round of hell for the next 3 months. I guess some may think I'm lucky..I get these every other year.  I already dread 2013!
I went to my doctor today and again filled my Imitrex prescription.  Don't know what I'd do without Imitrex.
Another thing I dread is trying to work while I go through this next session.  I hate it when I get the daily CH at work and then the one at night that wakes me and disrupts my sleep.  I will be exhausted and look it until this is over.

Hi Kari Lisa,

Sorry you are being paid a visit by our CH friend.

I hope you stick around.  There is a lot of great information around here that can help you in your fight.

PF wishes,

Jeannie

Hey Kari Lisa,

Glad to know that at least imitrex is coming to your aid.

I and a LOT of others have found that there is invaluable info and advice to be found here regarding various ways to fight this beast. I'm a long time imitrex user myself, but after getting educated here I added to my arsenal and was able to get through my last 2.5 month episode without experiencing a single, full blown, full length attack (they can go on at high kip levels for 3 hours for me).

Something to note is that when people here talk about O2, they're not talking about the old ineffective way of administering it that is still routinely prescribed by doctors. Details on the much more effective use of O2 can be found at the oxygen info link to the left.

Don't be a stranger now.  Smiley

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.
