Wow! I am so amazed and proud of your accomplishment. I wanted to go on a bicycle trip from LA to San Francisco riding down Hwy 1 when I was 16 with the Girl Scouts. However, I was not selected for this wider opportunity and was instead selected for an international opportunity to go live with a family in Mexico for a month. I was bumbed out I really wanted the bike trip and I was so upset I didn't get it I turned down the trip to Mexico. One of lifes regrets. I did however, as a girl scout bike all over the state of Wisconsin and its hills, bluffs, and valleys every summer and camped out in the evenings and eating over an open fire. I miss those days! Good for you for pursuing your dreams and desires.
