I havent had a hit now for 6 days. does that mean they have finally gone? through out the day i can feel "shadows" on both sides od my head. more around the top and back of my head. the feeling i would normally get when a "normal" headache is coming on, or in my ear like earache?is this the norm  and do you think they have finally gone?

That's how my cycles end, they do the slow fade. Only time will tell. Hoping the beast is done with you this go round. Stick around and keep reading the board. That way the next time he visits, you'll be better prepared. Wink

It's different for everyone.  Some fade out and others, like myself, abruptly end like they began.

Hoping this is the end of the cycle for you!

I'd notice that I had one or two fewer hits one day and by the time I did, they were definitely on the way out. Usually within a day or two.

They seemed to drain away quickly once it began.

Do you think very mild attacks mean that the cycle is coming to an end? I've been having them for 15 days, and every 4 or 5 days I'm struck by a little stronger one (pain level 4).

Sadly Nenbo, the answer is always "maybe." Mine do the slow fade most of the time, other times they just stop. Consistency is not a hallmark of the beast! Sad

They seemed to me considerably shorter toward the end before they went away. Just as painful but not something that destroyed my usual sunny disposition if I didn't have luck with my little technique. I wouldn't say they faded out.
