I wasn't ever really family here... perhaps the red-headed step-child of the site? Grin

But it's been a while since I stopped by to see if there's anything new on the "try this" front or since I said hello, so thought I'd pop in and and do both. Smiley

I hope lots of you are in remission, and those chronic... well... hope you've found something that works.

Gary's still chugging along. Been long enough now that we see cycles within his chronic condition. Unfortunately, he's in a high cycle right now. He's also become incredibly sensitive to changes in pressure. I don't need the barometer anymore. And he's still having those crazy fevers. Interestingly, a couple of months ago we started taking his temp in both ears - and found that his temp is on average 1.5 degrees higher on the side with the clusters (when having a fever). Once again - the experts are stumped LOL.

The only new drug he's tried since I was last here is memantine. (sp?). At least this one didn't try to kill him or increase the number of hits.

On the rollercoaster of trying-to-live-life and depression, he's in a good place mentally, which is always wonderful. I love Gary through all, but I really enjoy being with him when he's in this place.

For anyone who cares, we added another kitty to our lives. We rescued Chumley last summer. He's a 3-year-old FIV+ guy, and just the sweetest thing.

Hope everyone and their families are happy and healthy - and as many of you as possible are pain free right now. Smiley

How are you - and how's Phil??????? Just read Batch's D3 regimen. SO glad it's helping so many people! Gary seems to be an alien with his chemistry, but obviously I'm out tomorrow and returning with D3 to add to his supplements! Once gain, I've got my fingers crossed LOL.

Laurie - Joe's last cycle was dramatically different from previous ones. His lithium regimen didn't seem to block as many from hitting, and the O2 would abort but he was left exhausted and such.

he did give Batch's regimen a try and had pretty great success. Hope it works for Gary.

Need to go re-read that....

I think of you all often and wonder how it's going. It's good to hear from you.....just wish things were 'all better'. Here's hoping the new plan proves helpful...it has for several.

Hey Laurie... (this from "cousin" Granny) - I got the PLAQUE for the red-headed step child in Nashville back in 2004, so no more talk about not being family. Once ya get in this family - we don't let you OUT - understand.

Now to Gary... hope the new stuff works. And let's KILL the barometer - it does a mess with my head also (have always held the theory that it's a trigger BIG TIME - about the only thing I can find to trigger mine).

And check in more often - we miss you when you're not here and we DO worry about ya'll.. Kiss
