feeling better, but.........
Jul 4th, 2011 at 9:47am

Hi folks.  After 4 1/2 months, my CH's seem to be on the downside thankfully.  Still using the imitrex tablets and verapamil, but havent needed O2 since around the middle of June.  My question is this:  Is severe diarrhea a sign of recovery?

This started around June 12th, and I still have it as of this post.  3 to 4 times in the morning only, and then I'm fine through the afternoon, evening, and overnight.  The only change is that I've finally been off the useless topomax and have been taking the verapamil since the middle of June.  And as we all know, verap is NOTORIOUS for constapation.  So it cant be the medication.  Any thoughts?  Or perhaps this might be something else that I would need to speak with my primary care doctor.  Thank you as always!!!

Hi Kenoman29

Any medication changes can cause Diarrhea regardless of the verapamil.  Everyone's body handles medication changes differently.   Get some Gatorade to help with dehydration from the diarrhea and call your doc.  Can't be too careful you may have something completely unrelated to CH going on.

Glad you are on the mend, but please get checked out by a Doc on the other thing.
