Hello people, it's been a long time !
Jul 19th, 2011 at 2:05am

Just wanted to say hi all. I've been here before but not in years. I still recognize some of the names here and it's good to see you guys are 'still kicking'  Smiley   But I'm sorry to read that alot of you are still dealing with the beast.

I've been chronic for a long time, but I did catch a pretty good break from about July 09 until July 2010. I had a few attacks here and there but no real cycle. I was very thankful for the break. I'm once again having daily (well, mostly nightly) attacks. I thought I'd once again check in here to see if you all had any new news about treatments for clusters ... but I don't really see anything new and I've already tried it all (Been there, Done that)

Anyways ... I registered to mainly just say HI to you all and to wish you all good luck. I'll be lurking about from time to time but I don't really have anything new to add right now.

Wishing you all PFD&N Smiley

Odd, I too am chronic and like you, went into a fairly long period of low activity, roughly April 2010 to November 2010, but then they came back with a vigor and a will. So you already know about the Vitamin D2/calcium/fish oil regimen? And the use of energy drinks? And the use of O2 @ 25lpm+ to achieve hyperventilation? Just wondering cuz those are fairly recent developments. Good luck, and may you also be pf. Blessings. lance

Hold on a minute there now IFB! As you can see above, there is new, effective stuff.  Smiley

The best new development IMO is seeing chronics become PF without the toxic pharmaceuticals, which we've seen some of recently with the D3 regimen, and plenty of this also being reported for a good while now on the clusterbusters.com message board.

Also 'new' since you visited last is this Newsweek article on clusterbusters: Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Was melatonin something you've tried for preventing the night hits? It's not all that new, admittedly, but thought I'd ask anyway.  Cool

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

I didn't mean to offend anyone or to sound like you have nothing new to offer at all. I guess I'm losing (or already lost) my will to fight anymore.

The "Norm" around here is: I get awaken every night at about 2am, spring out of bed like the house is on fire, sprint to the bathroom and give myself an injection, and then apply scalding HOT wash cloths on my eye and SCREAM IT OUT, until it's over. Attacks last from 10-15 minutes and as long as 60 minutes. The sooner I get an injection in me after it starts, the faster and better it will help stop the attack. Postponing an injection for even a couple of minutes will result in longer and more intense INSANE pain !!

I'll admit that there are a couple of things that I haven't tried, but I have tried so many things already that I'm skeptical of anything else helping and have accepted my nightly beatings  Sad   At least I'm only getting these attacks once a night now. I do KNOW that it could be alot worse !!

Best Wishes to you all

Hi and welcome back.  When was the last time you were here?   If it's been a fairly long time then there are indeed a few new therapies that have given folks their lives back.

It isn't for everyone, due to where people work, etc.  but the success rate for being pain-free is astounding.  Might want to at least check it out.
