Anyone here gluten or grain free?

I'm just curious to know.  I eat no grains myself (nor sugar) and was wondering if anyone else here does the same or does not eat gluten (by choice or necessity).

I have been gluten and dairy free for a year now. It was a choice after having extensive food panel tests. I am sensitive to gluten and dairy not intolerant perse' I guess I feel better not sure it help's with the "headaches"

I dont eat refined sugar i eat un refined from time to time. "Am I in cycle right now" Thats a good question Smiley I was treating my what we call "shadows" for the last year with indomethicin cause I was diagnoswd after my last cluster cycle that ended in april 2010 after around 4 months,I had contstant shadows and was diagnosed by my headache specialist in florida with "hermicrainia continua. I moved back to ny in march of this year and the indo wasnt workin and I was getting heavier "shadows" and my new specialist said if the indomethicin isnt working at 200 mg then he ruled out hc and my diagnosis as of 2 weeks ago is cluster's. I started a pred taper a week ago and so far so good also started verap im down to 20 mg of pred now after being 60mg to 50 ect. So far im ok time will tell.
Im confused with the whole thing since my cycle back in dec09 was the second cycle I ever had in 11yrs. So There is my story and will def keep u posted

I have celiac disease, so I have been gluten free for almost 13 years now (found out I had it in 1998). I do eat refined sugar, but not much, as the ups and downs of the sugar rush affects my HAs. Surprisingly, caffeine does not have the same effect. I only wish being gluten free would prevent or help my CH, though, who knows, if I was eating gluten, maybe they'd be worse.

What type of sugar substitute do you use, Mel?  Just curious.

Sucralose (like Splenda) or agave nectar.  I want to get off the sucralose and start using palm sugar, but our finances just aren't there yet.
