Damn Barometer!!!!!!

The weather is a killer... we're getting clouds (no rain just the barometer going up and down -teasing us) and of course this is "HIGH CYCLE!!!!"

Then on top of it I gets me a summer cold about a month ago (runny nose, sneezing the whole bit). In between the O2 and Red Bull, I'm hitting the OTC stuff to get rid of the "cold" in a week ...

Welllll, turns out it isn't just a summer cold, but a sinus infection -- after about two weeks I go to the ER one day and get something for it EXCEPT the idiot didn't give me the RIGHT stuff (he forgot to take an X-ray to find out what exactly was WRONG...

So a week later I finally make an appt with my reg doc who DOES take an X-ray and finds a "little" problem that's grown into a BIG problem...

LSS (too late) I've got a BIG problem in my sinus region and after two weeks of antibiotics it ain't got better, so I'm on some more antibiotics and a pred taper and have an appt with a nice ENT to see if they're gonna have to do something drastic (like drain the darn thing).

Right now I'm walking into walls, trying to keep my head in an upright position (it won't stay upright for long periods of time - just falls over - weird) and someone blew up a balloon inside my head and it won't deflate. Oh and I'm getting hit about 3 or 4 times a day. And yes, Pete - I'm taking my vitamins and minerals and the O2 and Red Bull - it IS helping, but I'm still getting hit.

I'm on a whinning kick this morning. Been up since four drinking coffee, puffing O2 and thinking about eating something so I can get my "horse pill" down (have to eat or I have another problem with this new antibiotic and food just doesn't sound good at 4 in the morning).

The nice weatherman said we have a chance of rain today... If it rains I may go out and try to drown... If I recognize what rain is that is... it's been so long since we had ANY wet stuff here in Texas..

And to top it off - my KIDS left DIRTY DISHES in the sink from last night -- UGHHHHHH! And they tell me murder is against the law in Texas -- that needs to be changed!

But ya'll have a nice weekend now ya hear...

Kiss

Some of my worst cycles occurred when I had sinus infections. The infections would also trigger another neuralgia which is similar to CH, as well. I found that Thomas' treatment of pouring Four Way nasal spray in the affected nostril often brought me relief.
Not just a squirt, but several drops with your head tilted back.

Unfortunately, I have no advice where barometric pressure is concerned. I know what you mean though. My "monsoon" clusters were awful.

Hang in there, Barb. You're a tough bird!

I don't know what the hell is going on this summer - but I've talked to several people who live along the eastern seaboard who are all having trouble - you're the first away from the right coast Barb (that I know of anyway) that has been having the same kind of trouble.

Even Alex, who has a cycle from November to February, is suddenly screaming for O2 in the night - and he's never had a problem with his hits NOT responding instantly, but all of a sudden, O2 isn't enough, and his situation at the moment, dictates that he can't take anything for preventive measures;

I gave Clark shit for all this weather and put the blame squarely on the weatherman, at which point he rather LOUDLY reminded me that he's in sales NOT manufacturing, and if I had a beef about the weather I needed to go up the chain, this was well above his pay grade Tongue

It seems someone disrupted our regular weather pattern and the rest of us are all suffering for it.  Not. Cool. (literally, for some folks).

Here's hoping you get the sinuses worked out Barb - it was sphenoid sinusitis that started Alex down the path of clusters - not the cause I know - but a correlation of sorts if nothing else.

Hope you get the schnaaz cleaned out soon and you head back to low cycle.
