Hell yeah! Dance, sing, enjoy the pain free times. Just always be prepared for a return engagement. Here's hoping that'll be a while.

Yeah! me too long time sufferer.  Stop the nasal spray, feels like nasal congestion but its more of a referred pain, pressure.  Try ice on your face.  I used to use the nose spray and take percocet, oxycontin, aND NOTHING WORKED.  Finally an ER Doc who was also a sufferer gave me a shot of Torodol 60 mg.s and like magic the pain was gone..he gave me refills as well as a suppository for the nausea I get.  Torodo is an anti-inflamatory, but cannot be used for more than 5 days at it is hard on the kidneys.  next time you have a cluster, go to an ER and ask for Torodol injec, its NOT A NARCOTIC so they won't think you are a druggie.  Knock off the Monster, Redbull actually sets you up for a bad head.  I have been using tjhe Torodol for a couple of years now, works good as does neurontin 300mg TID, less frequent and less severe.  If I miss a dose or two I usually have a headache within 24 hours.

I've been using Red Bull with my oxygen for years, haven't noticed any rebound issues with it. Many of us have found success with 4way nasal spray to alleviate the shadows in between hits.

Toradol is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Toradol is used short-term (5 days or less) to treat moderate to severe pain, usually after surgery. It is used alone or in combination with other medicines.
Toradol may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide

Glad that it's been providing you some relief. I would be very hesitant to suggest this as a main stream tretament for CH as there are many other options with proven track records that don't have the risks of NSAIDS.

I never meant to suggest Torodol as a mainstream tx for CH, just that if you have been suffering for days, my case usually a bad cluster can last 4 -6 days, and so painful that I actually did not want to live (passive death wish) not suicidal.  I save the Torodol for the really bad times, usually no more than 4-5 injections Per Year.

You realize that this tosses your credibility out the window, right?

ETA: Allow me to elaborate a bit. The vast majority of CH sufferers at this site find that the combination of caffeine and taurine in energy drinks can actually abort an attack, if not alone, then in concert with high-flow O2.

Energy drinks contain:
  • Taurine - a calcium Chanel antagonist - just like verapamil
  • Caffeine - a vaso-constrictor - just like oxygen

It's no wonder that they help with CHs, quite the opposite of what many doctors suggest without looking at the facts.

Typically cluster headaches do not last this long.  I have had shadows that persist for days but I assure you, if I ever had a "bad cluster" that lasted for days, I would no longer be here.
