Good news: our new guinea pigs!

July 22 two adorable female guinea pig babies moved to our home. I've taken a few snaps of them, but they are still so young and shy, so I have let them get to know their new surroundings. I can't resist to share these few pics with you.

The mostly white one white black in her head is called (at least for now) Lumi. Her name means snow. The white-brown one is called Nuppu and her name means bud.

They are funny, cute and absolutely fabulous!

Thank you, guys.

We wanted to have a pair of females this time, and luck was on our side; the local pet store just happened to have plenty of cute guinea pig females to choose from. I wanted them to be young, so they can grow up together.

The stores did have males, too, but one there, another one here, so getting them would have been a risk; they might have got along just fine, but that would have been beating the odds.

It's Lumi, means snow.

Oh that's just all wrong, it should be Princess. Maybe it's Snow Princess.

Pretty sure it's just Lumi. We grew up in the same store, remember?
