I wish I could say I was glad to be back...
Sep 2nd, 2011 at 10:10pm

Well, it has been a little over two years since my last cycle. I am getting my first headache back into a cycle I guess. It's 10pm on a Friday night. I am completely unprepared... took two actifed to narrow the blood vessels and act as a sumatriptan. Worst of all, my husband seems annoyed with me and went to bed.
What a bad feeling.
Need O2, need imitrex, and need to get into a specialist.

Sounds like you are familiar with the O2, high flow regulator, non-rebeather mask...followed by Imitrex injections and sprays.

Don't forget to get a script for a 2+ week Prednisone taper while the Verapamil or other preventative med is processing within your body.

Until that doctor appt, you may want to stock up on RedBulls.  Also did you read the "123 days..." thread posted by Batch?  This natural regimen is working wonders for many here.

Your husband should get on this board and educate himself, then and only then will he perhaps understand and treat you with respectful empathy.  That sucks he is not supportive.

Hopefully he is just acting this way tonight because he wants to help you, but feels helpless because he knows he can't help!?  For your sake, I hope tonight was an isolated incident that will not be repeated when you next get hit by the beast.

You may feel alone, but remember we are here for your support and for any questions you need answered also.

PF Wishes

Sorry beasty is back, Vegas is right, get hubby to hang out on the supporters board. It's a horribly frustrating position to be in as a male supporter. Our tendency is to fix stuff...watching you hurt and feeling helpless about it may suck for him. Hope you get the 02 quick.

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.

Trizzy, my girlfriend joined as a supporter today and read alot of info here on this site.  She explained to me things about CH's that I failed to comprehend.  This ultimately helps me.

There's an old saying that "a 2nd set of eyes is sometimes better than 1"...I believe in gathering others opinions and making decisions from there, as I claim to not be 1 to know everything by myself.

She also expressed more empathy and understanding than ever before, which was very comforting to me to have her as a supporter.

Hope your husband is open to reading and learning and being supportive to you.  We are always here for you Wink

Pain Free wishes to you Trizzy

I found it. Thanks! I've got to tell you all, I am pretty sure he was just frustrated to have to watch me suffer again. I know he cares. Thanks again for the pour of support. It is always tough to start a new cluster cycle.
