Sucks, I sure know what that's like, hope the Beast leaves you alone long enough to get some rest.

I too can't nap, when in cycle, but could get some limited rest at night... an hour here or there. I don't know what abortives work for you but, Oxygen has been my silver bullet in times like these... Melatonin is a staple of my daily intake as well...

All the best, I've been out of the loop, Northeast Pa. here, flooding, TALK about headaches..... I have not had internet or phone service, other than cell for over a week, just got the DSL line up and going today.

Here's hoping you can get some rest very soon.

Thanks.  Yea, oxygen has been a lifesaver and I just started taking Melatonin last night.  It didn't help but I've read on this board that it could take a few days to really take effect.

Best of luck with the flooding and stay safe.

Thanks Slacker, we are out of the "Flood Zone" but the damage in the surrounding area is amazing and the damage to the infra-structure is beyond belief. Bridges, phone lines DSL etc. Gonna be a long weekend for those in the "Zone"....

Play with the dosage of the Melatonin, I use 9mg. per night, it takes a few days for it to regulate your system.

I've also learned from Dr. Rozen, that the brand you use can alter the effects, strange but true, we're all different, I used to buy the stuff from "Sam's Club" switched to Natures Bounty purchased from CVS and relatively inexpensive and saw a difference. I tried up to 15 mg. but got the best results from 9 mg.

Batch has had great results from an anti-inflammatory regime' , I've started it, even though I am currently in remission and out of cycle. Look over his posts, might be worth a try. I've suffered from the Beast for almost 20 years, and I'm still tryin' ....  Smiley

All the best,

Baer

That sounds nasty.  Good to hear that you're out of the damage zone though.

I'm using a Melatonin brand called Natrol which is 10 mg and combines time release with immediate release.  Been on Batch's anti-inflammatory regimen for a few weeks too.  This particular cycle has just been nasty though.
