Topic notification

What's a topic notification? I click it but I have no idea what to do next. "No board notification" or some such is what I find when I go there.

Thanks.

Charlie, are you talking about the box you check off before you post, to receive replies to the topic?

Right after good afternoon Charlie and that I have no new messages comes "You have new topic notifications (1). It doesn't seem to do anything for me when I look around. I realize it's part of social pages but for me this is new here. I don't get it here.

Charlie,

At some point you've put a check in the "receive notifications on this topic" box somewhere.  You can view your notifications by following this information from the "help" page:

YaBB's User CP (User Control Panel) is a combination of your user profile with Buddy List, Personal Messaging, Notifications, and Favorites.
When you enter the 'User CP', you have multiple choices of what to do:

•Above the left side pane, you see a tabbed menu containing 'Messages', 'Profile' and 'Posts'.
•In Messages, you are controlling all of your personal messages, you can sort them in your folders (if enabled) or send new messages as well as search for a particular message.
•In Profile, you can view your Profile's appearance and edit its contents. With the 'Buddy List' you can quickly check your friends' online status, send messages to them, and check their details.
•In Posts, you can check & update your Notifications and Favorites as well as consult your own latest posts.
•On the right hand pane you'll see part of your Profile as it appears in the Display Posts page, your Buddy List, information regarding your online/offline appearance, and your Board and Topic Notifications.

OR, Charlie - we could both just admit we screwed up and checked the wrong box somewhere and forget the thing and not worry about it..

If we do what DJ says we'll probably screw up something else...  Smiley and then he'll have to spend his time trying to straighten out his "problem children" who are compter challenged at best.

Thanks everybody.

It doesn't really get in the way but I wasn't sure if I was missing something. You know me, I'm usually behind a curve somewhere. I'm getting by fine for now.

Youse guys are terrrific.
