From the website:

Adam Lee
The Grand Mound water park/hotel is supporting Adam in his efforts to set a new world record for the largest balloon sculpture ever created by a single artist. Adam will be twisting a Halloween-themed arachnid of nightmarish proportions. According to Adam, “I just twisted a sculpture at Great Wolf Lodge that was close to a world record [just a few feet shy], and now I want to make something that will really wow people. This balloon piece will take days to create, and use thousands of balloons.”

In order to achieve the record, Adam will have to assemble the colossal spider by himself.

Update: Adam’s completed spider sculpture is finished and on display at Great Wolf lodge! A surveyor was contracted to take exact measurements for official records. The dimensions were 45 feet 2 inches wide by 22 feet 2 ¼ inches wide and used 2,975 balloons. This spider is made entirely of balloons with no supports or glue. The world record application is being processed at this time.

Very freakin cool Steve!!  Did he just do that this year?  If so, maybe I could take the kids down to the Dells to see it before it's gone.

Great find, thanks! Smiley

Melissa,
You're welcome.  Smiley

To answer your question, yes, it was done this year, this month [Oct.].
As far as you & the kids being able to see it in person, Adam constructed it at the Great Wolf Lodge
in Grand Mound, Washington, not the one located at Wisconsin Dells. Darn it anyway.
