Get a portable O2 tank and put in your cab.

More questions for you than answers at this stage:

Are you seeing a doc who has experience treating headache? If you are not getting relief with the amount of meds you are now using it says you need a new treatment plan, i.e., a doc who knows the complexity of headache disorders who can look at your situation with fresh eyes.

Have you ever used a med which prevents/reduces attacks (in addition to the abortive)? Essential to have one.

The abortive you are now using should not affect your driving safety except that if you are not getting relief pain can divert you focus/attention.

No cures...sorry. But there are effective means of preventing and aborting the hits. How did you get the triptan? It seems your doctor is at least willing to treat your symptoms. If it's a pill form, you may want to explore the injectables. Tell us more about your history with CHs and how you were diagnosed. Blessings. lance

Hey Ruzzo,

Now that you have the prescription refilled, if  those are 6 mg injections, this tip on how to stretch your doses can make a HUGE difference:

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Besides high flow 100% O2 for an abortive, there are some non toxic preventatives I'd suggest you look into.

The clusterbuster approach is described in this article:

And the newer D3 based regimen that has some reporting going into remission is described here:

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.
