Hello everybody Smiley

I have suffered under the beast for about 10 years now. They started whilst I was still in school. I was un diagnosed for 7 years before any doctors would take me seriously.

I'm currently in remission, yay me!! But shadows have started cropping in at 3-4 in the morning but after when I get up and breathe a little faster it starts to behave again, I'm sure you have all been there.

Hopefully speak to somebody soon as I have never spoken to anyone with what we suffer.

Thanks again.

Hello Ben, and welcome! My first suggestion is for you to troll this site for the next 24-48 hours. There is a wealth of information here on how to deal with the beast. My second suggestion is you take the warning it seems you are being given by the Beast, and line up effective aborts and preventatives. It may be you are about to go into cycle, and if you are, you will be glad you are prepared. If you are not going into cycle, all well and good. You are probably hyperventilating without the introduction of pure O2 and as such, are aborting what we call shadows-CHs which never quite take hold. That's a good thing, but you will want pure O2 and a good CH setup if the beast comes home to roost. Tell us more about yourself and what you are currently or have in the past used. God bless. lance

Welcome to the board Ben, if you are from the UK as your name indicates, do check out your local support group, OUCH UK   as they have a lot more area specific info. As Lance mentioned, don't ignors the warnings that beasty is coming back. Sucks to get caught flat footed. Do you have oxygen yet? A good prevent med? Hope beasty is just teasing and not really settling in.

I understand that your health sevice regulations give you the option of going to any headache clinic of your choice. OUCHUK can better guide you.

My impression, from messages from the UK, is that local docs are, overall, quite unprepared to handle complex headache disorders and are far too conservative in treating these problems. This is a good reason for seeking a referral to a solo headache specialist or a headache clinic.

What they said, Ben.  Smiley

Now's definitely the time to put a major beast killing arsenal together (including high flow 100% O2 as outlined in the oxygen info link to the left).

Some folks have been able to prevent entire cycles with the clusterbusters approach, and some are also reporting the same with the newer D3 regimen. If you were to pursue either or both of these you'd want to jump right on them immediately yesterday.

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.
