If opiates worked for me, I would do them!

Unfortunately for me, opiates only hide the beginning pain of an attack.  It eventually builds to where the opiate can't cover it up any longer and then I'm f'ed.  Had some of my worst attacks when trying opiates.

Vegas, I don't need to explain myself any further but I understand and appreciate your concern. For now I'm just going to hope I can remain out of trouble using the opiates. I don't care much about the D3 regimen, my point was that hopefully I'll find something that aren't opiates that will work.

i have never come across an opiate that actually did anything for any kind of pain.  broken rib, ruptured tendon, broken foot, broken wrist, torn muscles, pulled wisdom teeth... army doctors love to give out narcotics when they see anything that causes pain they can identify with.  unfortunately for me, all they ever do is make me extremely nauseous.  i woke up puking once after a surgery to fix the thumb i almost cut off because the doctors hooked me up to a morphine drip...  i was not happy Angry

anyway, just tread carefully and do whatever works for you.  my advice would be this: if you use anything that has the potential to result in addiction, find someone to hold you accountable for your usage of the drug.  somebody you trust, who would take the time to ask you about how much you are taking.  be honest with them, because addiction almost always creeps up on you all sneaky like.  it is often those around you who notice it first.

I'm lucky I have a partner who naggingly but lovingly asks me exactly what I've taken to treat each of my headaches and reminds me of dosing limitations (not just for opiates, but the triptans too). So at least that part is covered  Smiley
