Sometimes ya just gotta be thankful...
Nov 23rd, 2011 at 10:46am

I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself (I tend to do that when I'm in a high cycle) and then Thanksgiving came along and I had to make a decision about where to eat or whether to cook... (big decision Smiley - I'm in HIGH Cycle!!!)

An old friend called an asked me to come to Longview and have lunch with her and her family cause she misses me. I adore her family and got to thinking about going (and am going).

Her daughter would cheer up the gumpiest person in the world. This child (well she's in her 40s) has given birth to two children (ages 23 and 13). the first was ADHD with violent behavior and the second was Downs Syndrome (mentally about 3 now) and she's had both breasts removed from cancer and still she cheers up everyone around her.

This year I'm forgoing the usual "family" dinner which includes a lot of gossip and bickering and going to visit my friends and get cheered up and remember to be thankful that I have "my" problems and not someone else's.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and remembers to be thankful for what you have.

Luv ya'll BD Kiss
