The Demon's heartbeat - graphed
Nov 30th, 2011 at 3:19am

For nearly 2 years now, I've been recording every headache, migraine and cluster I've had in a spreadsheet (along with other data such as sleep patterns, medication I take, etc). Below is a graph of the clusters since 1 Jan 2010 to 27 Nov 2011.

The different colours represent multiple clusters in the same day. So, Cluster 1 is the first one of the day, Cluster 2, the second one for that day, etc.

They are on a pain scale of 1-10, although I once had a cluster of a 14, so the graph goes to 14.

I also don't use the KIP scale. It doesn't work for me. I find the KIP scale to be half a bell curve, whereas my pain scale is more a straight line at a 45 degree angle from 1 to 10.  I have it written out in detail if you are really that interested.

I call it the Demon's heartbeat, cause it sort of looks like that.

You can see that this year I went from Episodic to Chronic, and things went from bad to *insert swear word*. 2010, I had 63 clusters, so far this year I've had 218.

And that isn't with the headache and migraine graphs. Things then just become extreme, as I have a headache 71% of the year.

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.
