Hi guys ,
Just wanted to introduce myself, Im a newbie lol , I was diagnosed last year with cluster headaches, My first attack last for 23 weeks and hospitalised me , thank god my headaches dont last as long now.. my current headache i have 4 days now... It is so good to find a site that i can post to as sometimes it can be so frustrating that i cant get my family to understand  what i am going through, they just keep saying go to a different doctor get a second opinion , what they dont understand is that i have seen all the specialists and the doctors and had the tests and still no answers. over the last few attacks that i have had i have noticed a new symptom that is occurring , its a bit hard to describe but i will try ... When my headache is reaching its "peak" my body feels like it is trembling on the inside.. thats the best way to describe it, I was just wondering if any one else gets these tremors or feelings ? ..

The central question is: are you working with a doctor who is a specialist in headaches? If not, suggest you probe your medical system to see how to get referred to a headache clinic.

Contact this support group to see if hey can help with this issue:   Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

My impression, from a number of members in your area, is that your local docs are lacking in knowledge/skill working with headaches. That suggests a move to a speciality clinic, if at all possible.

In the meantime, it would help us if you would outline your medical history around Clusters: treats used, dosing, duration of use, etc.; do you have specific questions?

Just as a guide to the more common meds used for Cluster, see the PDF file below. You might print it out and use as a discussion tool with the doc.

Welcome, Dubgirl. Sorry you need to be here, but as Bob has suggested, we may be able to help. Please do fill us in a bit more on your history with these things: how you were diagnosed, what your cycles are like, and how you've been treated. We know some about what works and doesn't work. I look forward to hearing more from you. Blessings. lance
