So I've seen remedies come and go, like most of you. Been offered a nasty horrible toxic drug after another, contemplated having implants, drips ect. I even figured it might be better to have the damn trigeminal nerve just cut and I'd just drool my way through life rather then suffer anymore.

Before I sound like an infomercial host, I'll simply urge you to
try Batch's Anti-Inflammatory Preventative Regimen for Cluster Headaches. It worked the first night I tried it, and I was pain free on the second night. Been PF since. Batch himself is PF for 14 months, and there are numerous others. Check the link to his thread and many responses to it. I've added it below.
A multi-vitamin, covers the Magnesium & zinc, and I haven't even added Vitamin K yet, although I will soon. I also plan on making a "shopping list" for most major stores, containing what to buy so you don't need to get a Ph.D in vitamins just to 'give it a go'.
Although I do recommend you educate yourself, and as a disclaimer you should discuss this or any therapy with a doctor before trying it. Yet IMO a Pharmacist should be suffice, since its only Vitamins and not exceeding recommend dosages. (re-insert disclaimer)

Omega 3 Fish Oil - 2000 to 2400 mg/day (EPA 360 mg/day, DHA 240 mg/day)
Vitamin D3 * - 10,000 IU/day
Calcium ** - 500 mg/day (calcium citrate preferred)
Magnesium - 400 mg/day (magnesium citrate or magnesium gluconate)
Vitamin K *** - 120 mcg/day
zinc - 10 mg/day
Boron - 1 mg/day
This regimen can be taken any time of the day, but it's best taken in the morning with an 8-oz glass of lemonade, limeade, or any fruit juice high in citric acid sweetened with with a little honey. Honey is a natural source of Boron, which is listed as one of the "cofactors" along with magnesium, vitamin K and zinc.
It appears the average response time to a significant reduction in CH frequency and severity or going pain free is near the end of the second week with some going pain free in as little as two days after starting this regimen and others taking upwards of a month for a significant response. by BatchLink to Batch's Post regarding the regime.

My whole hearted advice;
Give it a try if you haven't, it certainly wont hurt. You could be pleasantly surprised as I was. Please if you do give it a try, please provide some feed-back via a quick survey. I would be happy to provide you a link to the survey once your ready.
If possible, perhaps you could have your 25(OH)D serum levels checked prior to trying the regime but certainly not necessary. This will cost you very little, and you can only benefit from it. Nobody will profit from your attempt, but you.
This is from Wikipedia
Pathophysiology
Cluster headaches have been classified as vascular headaches. The intense pain is caused by the dilation of blood vessels which creates pressure on the trigeminal nerve. While this process is the immediate cause of the pain, the etiology (underlying cause or causes) is not fully understood.
Now an Anti-Inflammatory Preventative, with no ill side effects, is pretty much a no-brainer if you ask me. Yet some people still haven't tried oxygen, so if you think $45 isn't worth a good chance at an essential cure, your eating too many mushrooms perhaps

Pardon my preach, but I feel like I need to spread the word.
