My quick fix to my clusters, please read!!!
Jan 18th, 2012 at 2:04pm

Ok so im new, but ive been reading, skipped the intro's to hopefully help someone. Im 30 years old and have had clusters since i was 17. I take 180 mg of verapamil as a preventative. (full glass of water)

So my only quick fix is slightly embarrassing. Please keep this as professional as we can.

When i feel one coming, and im in the privacy of my home, with or without my girlfriend, i get myself hard.

Yes i know you think im a weirdo, but im not. Its takes my pain away, and does not come back. I don't mean it helps, i mean it completely takes all of my headach and it dissolves it and opens my brain somehow to let the "pressure" out. I don't even finish or anything i just get myself hard as a rock and it goes away then im just so happy, then i let it die down naturally.

Its obviously easyer with my girlfriend, she seems to love it too, lol, my little doctor. But without her it still helps.

This is not a joke.
It took me 5 years of pain to realize this works.
It works 95% of the time, and if it doesn't completly take it away it will atleast help.

Kind of makes me think, the verapamil is also a blood pressure medicine, maybe that has something to do with it?
Hope ive helped, thanks for reading.

No Jon I do not need to keep reading. I want to keep reading but I dont need to keep reading. You NEED to read because you have not found your answer. But for me in my life I have found the answer. For some people its simple. Get back to the basics. For some its not.

Now don't take me lightly I've been to the emergency room countless times banging my head on the ground as nurses ignored me because it was just a headache. Then waited 3 days in there to see a Nero who gave me pregnozone and oxygen. I've been through tons of different treatments. I've been suicidal, homicidal. I've tryed everything. Even street drugs.

And yet still this is thee safest not harming natural way that frankly works better the oxygen or any other treatment. Now maybe someone searching will find this simple answer helpful.

Now for me this isn't the most important thing in my life anymore, I have other forums of interest. In other words I can move on with my life. Good luck to all of you.

Beg to differ...and to quote a resident sage..."this aint our first rodeo"....IF you had read more you would have seen this exact topic discussed extensively....and...anecdotally....it's WAY down the list of successes. (To answer the unasked...yup...been there). That it works for you is truly a delight...whatever, however, whenever something works for a fellow clusterhead...I rejoice. Thanks for sharing. When/if it stops working...you'll need Plan B, C,D,E,F,G...........................................you'll find those here.

You NEED to read because you have not found your answer. But for me in my life I have found the answer. For some people its simple. Get back to the basics. For some its not.

Damn skippy!...I have an incurable disease...what works now frequently don't tomorrow. I aint NEVER gonna know enough about this shit. No-one does...YET. HERE, I've learn about the proper way to use O2, the incredible benefits of energy drinks (caffeine/taurine), prevents such as verapamil/lithium/topomax (yikes), abortives such as Imitrex/Zomig, anti-oxidant treatment (I'd suggest a search on "Batch" posts), cold/heat, exercise, diet, triggers, coping mechanisms, medical research papers, clusterbusters.com ...and on and on.....

Didn't take you lightly...gave the best advice possible....from the best resource available.  You just described thousands of us...we get it. Stick around.

And yet still this is thee safest not harming natural way that frankly works better the oxygen or any other treatment. Now maybe someone searching will find this simple answer helpful.

We are protective of family...which now includes you. What concerns me is someone coming here...reading THE answer...it doesn't work...and they go away discouraged....and miss the good stuff!

Welcome aboard....aint no passengers...we're all crew. Don't get pissed...get educated.

Now for me this isn't the most important thing in my life anymore, I have other forums of interest. In other words I can move on with my life. Good luck to all of you.

Thanks...same to you...and when you need us...we'll be here. Livin' between the hits...that's what it's all about.

Best and PFDAN,

Jon

Btw...180 mg verap/dy is way low. Consensus is 480/dy for maintenance...personally I go to 1040/dy in high cycle.

Hey, I too, couple of days ago, posted my 1st post thinking: I have experience with this beast, bare hands too (no meds), it might help someone. Only to find out reading this forum a little further, and from the answers I got to my post, that all my tricks had been invented also by another clusterhead on the planet somewhere, probably even before I had.
.
Shortly after, seeing all the wisdom in the veterans' answers, precise details and guidance... I became convinced that I have all the reasons to read much further and learn...
It's a matter of sharing our experiences, knowledge... For me, the erection very often come with the beast's wake-up call in the middle of the night. It's just there when I wake up. Somewhat a relief, depending the mood of the beast, but never an efficient abortive method, even going all the way...
Also I discover to what extent my unbearable situation can seem almost like a walk in the park compared to others here. I truly wonder how some of you remain alive still. We all know the same beast, but the relation with it is not on the same level of intimacy for everyone... and some are better tamers it seems.

I love the attitude of everyone here, openness and all, I should have joined years ago. Many people here seem very devoted at helping others. Keep it up, and I'll try to chip in my little bit if I can (but I tend to write a lot as you can see).

What I find though as a newbie is that it's very difficult to see what has been discussed before. I just used the search engine to see previous posts mentioning LegalizeFreedom's trick. I found them, but would have never known that this subject had been discussed before if not for this post.

Maybe the site would need some sort of summary, index, something like that? Meanwhile I look at my bed and... uhhh, I'll keep reading for now  Wink

So what do you do when you are at work and/or in public, unzip and tug?  Or do you have a script for Viagra resulting in a PF workday to avoid an indecent exposure criminal charge?

I've been on this board since 1999 and have read several thousand posts and find this ridiculous!  But "to each his own."

Jon,

If i see you bash a newbies idea again I will contradict everyone of the post you reply to, and i will not be very nice about it.

Threats are never a good idea, and only put your maturity in question.

I'm usually on the side of the person getting bashed, yet I don't feel Jon was bashing at all. Nor do I feel he 'crossed-the-line". I got the sense he was irked by another "one post wonder" who wants to share his miracle cure.

However I thought LegalizeFreedom initiated confrontation with his second post, with its apparent attitude. No offense LegalizeFreedom.

I don't see a problem with sharing someones ideas or 'what works for me', regardless of how many times its been discussed before. I don't expect every new person to read through the years of threads before posting, yet a simple search would be prudent. Yet then adding to an old post is cause for abuse on some forums, so its hard to say how one should share their thoughts.

Either way, I don't see the need to get personal, publicly.

Perhaps you should take your own advice coach_bill and.....

With a negative post like that i think your best bet is to remain quiet, and skip the post

Uncommon but serious side effects include:
An erection that won't go away: If you get an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury. Cheesy

All an erection would do is lower your overall blood pressure. Not by much, but since he's taking Verapamil at a lower dose I'd assume his BP is lower then normal and an erections effect of lowering BP a bit more, is enough to get relief. CH relief, that is. lol

Taking Viagra is a pretty unsafe way to lower your BP, IMO.

PlayDoh,
It's the other way around and my guess is you made a typo.

Verapamil at lower dose = BP often remains pretty normal

Verapamil at higher dose = lower than normal BP

I tried it. And as much as I'd like to say it worked, It didn't for me at least. As for Viagra, first side effect is headaches.

I dunno, LF. Seems to me that if jerkin' the gherkin worked to abort CH for others as well as it appears to for you, CH would be an exclusively 'female' disease. However, since masturbation isn't an exclusively male activity and blood is drawn to the area being stimulated by both sexes, it (masturbation) should be effective for both sexes. No?

Just hoping to re-stimulate the conversation.
