new strange symptoms
Jan 22nd, 2012 at 5:25pm

I went a whole month and a half without any headaches!!!! A wonderful thing until this past thursday. Bad headache but with this one there was no pain unless i turned my head. if i kept my head in one place there was no pain. But if i moved it it was excruciating behind my left eye where the pain usually is when i get my other headaches.
I was so afraid to move my head. I was able to lay down but i just layed there motionless. i think i fell asleep because the next thing i know i am awoken by my husband who was checking my pulse and yelling my name.
He said when he came in to check on me i hadnt moved since the last time he checked. its all just scary.

Never heard of that as a symptom of CH. Not to sound alarmist, but I think you should get in to see your headache specialist right away.

Bonnie, like Brew said...in my 24 yrs. of  dealing with Cluster headaches and all the experts I've heard speak on this condition of ours I have never ever heard this symptom.  I'm glad you have an appt. with John Hopkins so they can diagnose you properly.

Please let us know what the results are, O.K.?

Thanks guys! I was diagnosed with the clusterheadaches by my neurologist but now i am kind of having second thoughts about the diagnosis. i will be sure to let you know what they say at johns hopkins.
The last time i saw the neurologist he did another MRI this one around the orbits of my eyes becuase i had an episode of blindness in my left eye for about 30 seconds with one of my headaches. He also did another test to check for any occlusions in my arteries in my neck. They both of course were negative.

I am wondering if it could be a musculoskeletal issue with your neck? Was it turning your neck that created the pain or any sort of head movement?
