Harbor Freight is only for the regulator, not the tank.  The tank you get from a welder supply company.

What I have found is many welding supply companies require a few days to a week waiting period after they run your credit for a rental.  We CH'ers simply need the o2 NOW and can not wait.

When you need your tank refilled, they exchange it on the spot as they always have plenty already filled.

My suggestion is to look into the options available from the welding supply company.  Regardless, you will want to get a larger tank that holds 200 or so cubic feet of o2.

And whatever you choose-rental/purchase, do NOT tell them you are breathing it!!!

You may need to educate that new Doctor about oxygen use for CH. It's the most effective and safest treatment we have. I've been using O2 for over 22 yrs and with the top notch setup I have now I abort over 95% of my hits.

A good idea is to call your insurance and ask if they cover O2 for CH. Puts you ahead of the Doc. If they don't, this can sometimes be over ruled.

I was a Kaiser patient for many years, they would cover 6 imitrex shots a month, but wouldn't cover my oxygen. For years I payed out of pocket for my oxygen, they paid for my imitrex. I finally pushed with members services, showed the simple math between the hundreds of dollars per imitrex shot, vs. a dollar or two to abort with oxygen. So yeah, you do spend some time educating people, but so worth the effort.
