Am I paying too much for 02?
Feb 17th, 2012 at 10:31am

I read that some tanks can be rented for as little as $4.50 a month.  I use Apria.  I have  two M and three E tanks that they switch out as needed. With insurance, I pay $126.00 a month until I reach my deductible for the year, which is now $1000.00.  Seems like I'm paying a lot.

Thanks,

Jeannie

hey Jeannie,

$126 sounds about right.  I had my own regulators and cylinder stands so the cost of the M-size oxygen cylinders I used to get in MD was $30 and $20 for the E-size.  My insurance had a 20% copay so my out of pocket for 3 of the M's was $18 per exchange/refill.  There was no monthly charge as long as the cylinder was turned over within 60 days.  That wasn't a problem as I averaged 2.5 M-size oxygen cylinders a month.

You might want to to check on how they charge for rent and contents.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

No Potter, there's no kissing involved.   Grin

Thanks, Pete.  I appreciate the input!
