Newbie expat in Belgium -Optimask question
Mar 7th, 2012 at 10:23am

Hello, all:
First time on the forum; total newbie.
I'm an expat living in Belgium with an incredibly dumb question:

I just got an OptiMask, but I have no idea of how to use it. I did do a search, but I can't find step-by-step instructions. I managed to assemble it, and I have O2 with a high flow regulator.

Do I breath continuously with the mask on my face or do I remove it to exhale? Is the bag supposed to empty? Also, I don't really get the hyperventilation technique.

I apologize for my stupidity. I hope someone will take pity on me and walk me through it! Smiley

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Honeybee,

Welcome aboard...  You've come to the right place.  I've posted info on one of the most effective breathing techniques to use during oxygen therapy.  They're listed in post #4 of the following link:

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there
