Tis the season - sick kids...
Mar 22nd, 2012 at 7:05am

Guess I'm just getting old, but since the grandkids moved in with me, I'm remembering how "hard" it is to raise kids...

Gee whiz they can get sick quick... 2 year old Chase has Strep again.. No Daycare for a while..(and it's tax season so THIS is not a good time for him to be sick).

Then Caleb got his glasses broken (the kid can't see his nose without them) and can't find his spare pair... so that was a trip to Cousin Dr. Terry Don (the eye doc is a cousin) and get him some goggles so he could go to school and find his way down the hall.

And I'd forgotten how much laundry kids can go thru... I didn't even know they had THAT many clothes! And EAT - all the time... don't know if we can afford them when they get to be teens.. Smiley

If I EVER fail to show empathy or sympathy for you young mothers out there  - kick me... my heart goes out to you - esp. with CH. I'd just forgotten how much energy it takes..  Kiss

Kids:

Little walking, talking petri dishes sharing the "germ-da jour" with their care takers. Don't think I EVER had a dry nose during the toddler years! Cheesy

And today is MONDAY all the way... My modemn went out Friday night sometime and I've been waiting for the nice man to come put me a new one in so I can get back to work (need the darn thing to file taxes and all that)...

Well, this morning, got up, got the 10 year old off to school (bus was late, but...)... then take the 2 year old to Daycare (15 miles away) BUT when I go to get him out of the car - the kid has POOPED all over him, the car seat  the car... EVERYWHERE!!!

I had to strip him off in the parking lot, used a whole thing of wipes to clean him up (of course I didn't have any more clothes with me - luckily his mother had left a spare pair inside)... He should feel a lot better - he's empty!!!!

And I had to get home in a hurry to WAIT on the internet guy to get here to work on my computer and get me back online... (it was the modem AND the phone line -joy of living in the country)...

My car is airing out as I type -- I - son is going to have a nice job when he gets home tonight...

But my modem is up and working now and I'm playing catch up on work and hopefully the 2 year old is playing and having a wonderful time at "school" now that he's empty...  Smiley

Ya'll have a good now now ya hear... I'm going back to work now...  Kiss

Who else could leap tall obstacles in a single morning, SuperGranny.  You could probably duck into the nearest phone booth and do a quick change on the pooperman.

Geeze, I'm just a jerk dude on this daily planet.
