Happy news!
Mar 30th, 2012 at 11:40am

So far, this Spring has been a kind one for me. Ch did remind me that it's still around, but two hits are do not make a cycle. Perhaps the baby is helping me out...?

I was very nervous Wednesday night and Thursday morning. I did not sleep well and woke way before the alarm. And why? Because we had the baby's second ultrasound, the one in which they check the baby's heath and pretty much everything from head to toes.

And as the title says, we got good news. Smiley Our baby is just fine, based on the ultra information. What a relief!

We did find out which one we're having, too. Smiley Luckily for us, the midwife was one of the modern ones who was willing to tell the news and our baby did allow the midwife to check that particular area. Of course the midwife did not promise that what was seen was 100% accurate - they never do- but for now it was very clear.

So, any quesses...? Wink

Pf days to everyone,
Sanna & Little Rascal 20+6

Sanna,

I'm so happy to read that your baby is growing well and is healthy!

I'm guessing that you are having a boy.  What the heck, I've got a 50/50 chance of being right!

I hope your pregnancy continues to go smoothly and that CH stays away.

Sanna & Little Rascal

Lumi:  Sanna was up awfully early but seems so glowing now.

Nuppu:  She went to see pictures and they showed her a little rascal, that made her happy.

Lumi:  Little Spanky or Alfalfa?

Nuppu:  A different name, I'm sure.

Lumi:  It's gonna be Buckwheat?

Nuppu:  This rascal is her new growing baby.

Lumi:  That's exciting, we'll have a little brother in here with us.

Nuppu:  Umm, it's not a guinea pig she's having.  It's like Sanna and Esa, but little.

Lumi:  We can be babysitters for her!

Nuppu:  Little rascals get into lots of things.

Lumi:  Like Spanky and Alfalfa?

Nuppu:  This rascal could be different.

Lumi:  And you're sure it's not Buckwheat?

Nuppu:  A brand new rascal.

Lumi:  We won't be her babies anymore.  Sanna once called me a little rascal.

Nuppu:  I think this will be another rascal.

Lumi:  Ok, we'll let him in the clubhouse.  Can't wait to see him in his little toga with his first food fight at the highchair.  Awwwww

I'm going to say *baby*, therefore I am completely correct.

Have fun Sanna (the party will begin in just a little while).

Bouncing baby boy!  You truly are glowing right off the screen (if that's possible, it's happening!)  So exciting!  During my pregnancies I did not have any CH visits.  Not a one.

Thank you all for your congratulations and guesses. We're excited and happy and can't wait for August! Smiley

And aguess it's is time to reveal the correct answer. We've been calling our baby Little Rascal pretty much since the day one and the first ultrasound confirmed it, because the baby was shaking that little fist to the midwife, who was using a bit too much force when she tried to get the measurements she wanted.

Our Little Rascal is - according to the second ultrasound (and believe me, the midwife did show that area from many angles!)
A GIRL
.

I do admit: I did go to a store and picked up her first dress after the ultrasound. She won't be wearing pink, though, but a cute blue dress with a red flower on it. Smiley I might have two of my old dresses saved up just for this occasion, in case I'll have a girl... Now I just need to find them. Grin

Mom has already went a little nuts when she saw baby stuff on sale... It will be interesting to see what happends from now on. We do have a lot of baby stuff to get; a baby carriage, a cot, a car seat for the baby... If that was up to me, we'd already have it all, but Esa wants to wait until we've found a bigger apartment.

Ch-wise, things have been a lot better than I hoped for. Let's hope that the rest of the pregnancy will be as PF as possible and the birth, too. And no, I have not been worried that our daughter will be a clusterhead. If that will happen, I know how to begin my search for the perfect help for her - right here. Kiss

Lots of PF wishes,
Sanna & Little Rascal Girl

First:  Congrats!!!!

Second:  Having one of each, there really is no difference between a boy or a girl.   Each brings their own personality and temperament into the world.  There are no owners manuals, and there is NO return policy.  It's learn as you go.    Just remember, life as you know it WILL change.   But it's definitely worth it!  I'm so happy for you two!

Thank you guys. Smiley

Barb, I'll keep that in mind... Wink When our little rascal gets out of hand, I'll promise her a trip to see auntie Barb. Grin

We appreciate all the advises. Smiley I've got a feeling that the closer August gets, the more well-meaning advises will arrive from well-meaning relatives and even more when our daughter is here... We were actually talking about the time when she's here the other night. We both have heard a lot of experiences, but neither knows yet what we're into exactly. Then again, no one can, because how the first days, weeks and months will be depends so much on this lively, active little wonder. Smiley

At this point, we both are trying to be as prepared as possible, but to also accept that what will happen will happen. I just hope that we have moved to the new place well before our daughter is ready to arrive to the world! Smiley

Lots of PF wishes to all,
Sanna & Little Rascal 22+0
